FreedPer Scientific is a company registered in Zimbabwe as Freedper Investments Private Limited. The name FreedPer is a combination of our Founder’s name and his wife’s. Our founder’s first name is Freedom and his wife is Perseverence. They took the ‘Freed’ in Freedom and ‘Per’ in Perseverance to come up with the name FreedPer. It was registered in January 2019 and the brand name FreedPer Scientific was launched in 2022 at Gateway Primary School during a training on use of weather instruments and handover of a weather station to the school. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2018 we operated under the banner of Earlycap Enterprises Pvt Ltd. About Us
FreedPer Scientific is a Zimbabwe based company that supplies scientific products across Sub Sahara Africa. At FreedPer Scientific our main focus is to promote the importance of collating and analysis of meteorology, hydrology and climatology data to better understand our changing climate. We aim to achieve this by making meteorological and hydrological instruments easily accessible and affordable to all sectors, starting from grassroots level.
Our company supplies manual, digital and automatic meteorological and hydrological instruments. In addition, we also supply general laboratory instruments, soil and petroleum testing instruments. Since our establishment, we have provided meteorological equipment to businesses engaged in a range of industries, including mining, energy production, and academia. The instruments we supply meet International Standards and in particular, they meet World Meteorological Organization (WMO) set standards as we source from manufactures who are members of the Association of Hydro-Meteorological Equipment Industry. As a private player in the global weather industry, we aim to operate in accordance to the WMO Private-Public Engagement principles and guidelines.
Apart from supplying scientific instruments, FreedPer Scientific also provides consulting services. Additionally, FreedPer Scientific offers installation services for instruments that need to be permanently set up, such as weather, hydrological, laboratory, petroleum, and soil testing equipment. We also provide instruction on how to operate and maintain our instruments.
